THANKSGIVING  Day,
                 27th November

Do you know that ...
"In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is considered today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn't until 1863, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.”

Guy Fawkes,  5th November

Do you know that ...

"Guy Fawkes Night is an annual commemoration traditionally observed on November 5th, primarily in Great Britain.
Its history begins with the events of November 5th, 1605 when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was caught guarding explosives placed beneath the House of Lords and arrested.
Celebrating the fact that King James I survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of the Observance of the 5th of November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot’s failure.”

Let’s learn something about this event and its celebrations. Why don’t you
