I'm an English teacher and I've created this blog for 7th, 8th and 9th grade students from Escola Básica Hermenegildo Capelo, Palmela, and their teachers. The purpose is to motivate students to participate in English. I/ We/They can share opinions, curiosities, information, thoughts, short comments and/ or texts about topics discussed in classes. Learning English can be fun!

Most people now have access to the Internet through computers, tablets or smartphones. There are often criticisms of the online world, but it can be a fantastic way for people to get together and do good.
(…) Other people, often thousands of them, add their signatures. If there are enough signatures, organisations will (…) listen and make changes. It's a great example of Internet people power.
Individuals can benefit from the Internet, too. (…)"

St.Patrick's Day, 17th March
"St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated annually on March 17, the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over 1,000 years. On St. Patrick’s Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast–on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage."
