I wish you all a happy Easter!
I'm an English teacher and I've created this blog for 7th, 8th and 9th grade students from Escola Básica Hermenegildo Capelo, Palmela, and their teachers. The purpose is to motivate students to participate in English. I/ We/They can share opinions, curiosities, information, thoughts, short comments and/ or texts about topics discussed in classes. Learning English can be fun!

Empowering Humanity:
Picture It!
"To be truly transformative, the post-2015 development agenda must prioritize gender equality and women’s empowerment. The world will never realize 100 per cent of its goals if 50 per cent of its people cannot realize their full potential. “ (Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon)

Do you know what actress Patricia Arquette said at the Oscar Ceremony Awards when she got her Oscar?
She dedicated it "To every woman who gave birth, to every taxpayer and citizen of
this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights, it’s our time to
have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United
States of America.”
Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacity. (Gandhi)
